Hi, I’m Luz! The heart behind Sonder Photography.
I’ve always been drawn to the little things: the way someone looks at you when you’re not paying attention, the random laugh between poses, the quiet moment before something big happens, and the tiny details that somehow end up meaning everything later. I'm a hopeless romantic, what can I say?
My sessions are warm, intentional, and detailed. I’ll guide you when you need help, help you when you feel awkward, play music, laugh with you, and also step back when the moment is already unfolding on its own.
I’m not here to make everything feel perfect or overly posed. I’m here to help you feel comfortable enough to be yourself, and then turn that into photographs that feel honest, nostalgic, and true to you.
Sonder Photography is my way of holding onto the little moments that make life feel soft, real, and worth remembering.
What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.

my story
My love for photography started when art felt like the only way I could express myself.
I was fourteen, had moved to a new country as a teenager, not knowing the language, carrying the loneliness that can come with those years, and feeling something so many of us know too well at that age: the ache of not being fully understood. Photography grabbed me by the hand and became my friend during that season, and I’m grateful to say our relationship has lasted 12 beautiful years, with no plans of ending anytime soon.
I photograph because I love it. That love is at the center of every session I take on, every story I step into, and every person/s I get to document. Every time I pick up my camera, it feels like a new story being added to both my books and my heart.
